4-year-old Ava’s weekly feeding treatments offer hands-on experience for OT students. 自2022年秋季起, she has been attending these feeding sessions as part of a hands-on, community-engaged lab with the students in the pediatrics course.

Saint 弗朗西斯 University garnered front-page headlines in The Tribute-Democrat newspaper twice this week, both showcasing experiential learning in action.

SFU Occupational Therapy students and faculty hosted an open house on January 26, 2024 to share their new space, St. Margaret Hall, with the campus community. The department is planning an official open house in April (OT Month) for the public (and alumni!).

在周五, 10月20日, 2023, Saint 弗朗西斯 University celebrated the Blessing and Dedication of Saint Margaret Hall. The facility, bearing the name of St. Margaret of Cortona, will primarily serve Occupational Therapy and Physician Assistant Science majors and is scheduled to open in January 2024.

At Saint 弗朗西斯 University, future healthcare providers are offered the opportunity to learn how to handle the emotional aspect of healthcare each time they enter a patient’s room.

The Occupational Therapy program at Saint 弗朗西斯 University has recently been accepted by the American Occupational Therapy Association as a Gold Level member of the AOTA’s Student Membership Circle.

The university unveiled its new anatomy lab which combines the university's traditional cadaver lab with a high-tech simulation space within the Experiential Learning Commons.

The OT and PT departments collaborated this year to host the annual Neuro Wellness Clinics. In these clinics students work with clients who have suffered various neurological events such as traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s Disease, 和中风.
